Moving from Crescent City to Florence, OR

We got up and got things ready to go.  Then we went in and had breakfast in the casino.  It was a good breakfast.  We headed out and I tried to stay in my seat because of the curvy road, but I did get up to take a few pictures out of the windshield closer so the bugs wouldn't show up so bad.  That turned out not to be so intelligent, so I sat back down and took pictures out the windshield from my chair.  I am really thankful for picture cropping and editing.             This is a very unique gift shop and museum.  We didn't stop though.
I cropped out the windshield, but you can still see a little blur where the bugs are.  But the coast is beautiful.

The tide is definitely in.

Oh, a straight stretch of road!!!  I can get up and use the bathroom without falling down!!!!!

Definitely beautiful.

That straight stretch was not how most of the road was.  It was usually curve...........

after curve..........

after curve.

Scotch broom is a weed, but has pretty yellow flowers anyway.  The blue/purple flowers are called Oregon lilacs.  They were beautiful.  I didn't know what they were until a friend told me today.

Hmmmmmm.   Same good-lookin bus driver as yesterday.  He is a good driver, so I think I'll keep him.

We made it to the RV park in Florence, OR.  We don't usually stay in RV parks, but there isn't any public land to park on here on the coast.  This just may ruin our reputation if it gets around.  To bad I don't have a swimming suit.  There is also a hot tub.

We got parked.  It was like backing into a cave.  The satellite dish had to be on a tripod on the other side of the bushes behind us.  It was dark and claustrophobic!  We are used to the wide open spaces of the desert.

We also had neighbors on the other side of a small bunch of trees and brush.  Also there were a lot of people walking by and driving by.  We saw a couple of people stop and we could tell by their hand gestures that they were talking about the flying machine.  We had the cover on it, so they couldn't quite tell what it was, but the arm gestures were funny.

I also have been doing some beading.  I actually finished 2 bracelets in the last few days.  I beaded in the evenings.  The first one is made with red and purple paisleys.  I used a wooden basket I made a long time ago and some shells I we found at the beach.

I am hoping a woman that belongs to the red hat society will like this.

The clasp is a really blingy button and when it is clasped around the wrist, the paisleys come together nicely instead of having room between the end pieces for the clasp.

The second bracelet is made with tila beads that just came out this year.  They have 2 holes and look great.

The button I used for the clasp is a pretty lavender with an opal quality to it.

Our fiiend, Joanie, said that there is going to be a rhododendron festival this weekend in Florence.  We will have to check it out......maybe Sunday since there will be racing stuff on TV all day Saturday.

It is our daughter, Jen's birthday today.  We called and say happy birthday to her.  Later she called me and told us that her husband, P.J. (aka Pajamma Boy) took her out to dinner.  After they ate, someone put a big party hat  (more like a dunce cap) with fringe on her head and the staff made EVRYONE in the restaurant sing happy birthday to her while her face turned bright red.  Ha, ha.  She also told us that the other day when P.J. and her 6 year old son, Eric were on their way home from fishing, Eric wanted P.J. to stop and get them hamburgers.  P.J. asked Eric if he had any money and Eric said he was cheapskate.  The rest of the day Eric was calling him cheapy cheapskate.  He is so funny and is always coming up with something  amusing.
Well, that is all the words I have for today, so until next time, God bless
Lila
