From Seaside, OR, to Chehalis, WA, June 2, 2011

I started this post once, but my puter wasn't cooperating and it was taking too long to add the pictures.  So I went to bed, LOL.  It was almost 11 p.m.!

Last Thursday we left the RV park at Seaside in the rain and headed for Washington.
Didn't see any frogs in Frogtown, but they would have felt right at home in the rain.

Look quick or you'll miss the sunshine!
Oh look!  Wildlife!  If it was moving, it was moving r-e-a-l-l-y-s-l-o-w.

We did get a little break in the rain now and then, but it always started again.  That is the Columbia River ahead........and Washington on the other side.

This boat was going east.  Wonder where it was going.   We had to stop on an uphill grade, which is never ideal.  It is really hard to build any speed when we have to start moving uphill.
bridge maintenance

Looking at the Washington side.
This boat was parked.

Now to find WalMart where we will meet our daughter, Jen, and her youngest, Eric.  I found a horse that wouldn't eat much, but I don't think Roger would let me have it.
Arriving at our rendezvous point.

We found a place in the parking lot and waited for Jen to arrive............and waited...........and waited.  We waited for 1/2 and hour.  Roger was getting anxious to get going so we could get parked and set up at his folk's place.  Finally I called her and she was at Subway inside WalMart.  She said she had been there for about 10 minutes.  She hadn't seen the bus?  How could she have missed it?
Ah, there they are.  Six year old Eric was being a bit shy, but that didn't last long.  We got in line to order and Jen and I were talking and the poor gal behind the counter had to ask questions twice.  Well, we hadn't seen them for months!
Finally, lunch!  I was hungry.  I had a black forest ham salad with spinach.  Roger had a black forest ham foot long sub and saved 1/2 for later.  Jen had salad and Eric ate all of her spinach instead of his sandwich.
Then it was time to say good-by.  They will drive up to Chehalis and go to church with me on Sunday.
It was starting to rain again.  Now why didn't that surprise me?
We got through all the construction at the overpass to get to I-5.

The construction was not on I-5, but I couldn't figure out to erase that off of the picture.
We didn't far to go from here, about 45 minutes to an hour.
Going through the small town of Napavine.  A tornado touched down here not long ago.
Don't blink.
Arriving at "home."  I say that, but actually we are home most of the time, we just take our home with us.
There's mom mowing.

And there is dad.

Now we have to unhook everything and get the bus parked.
There were flowers blooming all over the place and I just had to take pictures of them.

Oh my, I think Roger needs new boots!

and the woods.
Friday I went to town to get the mail and look for things to display my jewelry in photos.  Michaels was having a sale!  I picked up an earring display for $7 and a necklace display for $8!  I went home and took some pictures.

And last, but not least, the earrings I made with the beads I bought at Florence, OR.

I also found out that our friend's son was in accident and died.  I know how hard it is to lose a great grandchild, but I can't even imagine what it is like to lose a child.  Our prayers are with her.
Until next time .........God bless.
