First...............little Eric with his quilt. Jen brought him up and met us for lunch on Friday.
I think he liked it.
Then he wanted to go shopping with us instead of with his mom. We bought him some string cheese for a treat and a glow-in-the-dark shirt.
He's so cute. Took a picture of him in the dark, too.
That evening, Roger's mom, Jen, and I went to the women's "Fall Gathering" at the church while Roger took his dad and Eric out to dinner. Roger said Eric played on the computer the rest of the evening.
We had a great time at the meeting. I didn't get many pictures. I was busy listening I guess. After the speaker we had dinner. Lots of salads and rolls. Punch, coffee and tea. The decorations were very nice in fall colors.
Saturday, the same decorations were used for the wedding. The theme for the wedding was "The 50s," so a few things were added to the decorations.
There was a picture of the couple on the cake.
Elvis, of course, and a replica of the car they would drive away from the church.
The spare tire says "Jan's Crown." The car is a 55 (or 56) Ford Crown Victoria.
Verna put a bow with ribbon streamers on the antenna.
The maid-of-honor.
The flower girl.
The bride in her 50s poodle skirt and saddle shoes.
Taking their vows.
Exchanging rings.
And finally......kissing the bride.
It was great! They are both members of the church and lost their former mates to cancer at about the same time. They make a really cute couple. May God bless their marriage.
Until next time God bless.
Lila
