Roger and I planted some hen-and-chick plants in his old Red Wing boots.
First we cut slits in them to put plants in and cut a couple of holes on the sides for the water to drain out.. We also cut a slit in the tongue.
Then we added dirt and plants, watered them and added them to our landscaping.
Hopefully they will grow and be as neat-looking at the ones Roger's mother did a few years ago.
I made a cover out of blue leather for my little Bible that I carry in my purse. I was afraid that the pages would get folded and wrinkled. I put some jewels on it in the shape of a heart and a cross plus 3 pieced of velcro to keep the flap from getting folded and creased
Sunday after church we went to the motorcycle race track the other side of Onalaska on Burnt Ridge. Kyle is 10 or 11.
The little guys 5-7 years old raced before Kyle. The one in the lead was in a race all by himself. Everyone else was way behind him and he was flyin!!!
Here Kyle is getting ready.
Ready to go.
Kyle is just starting over the jump.
A couple other kids that were racing with Kyle.
He won his first race, but had to get ready for another race.
Over the jump. Go, Kyle, Go!!!!!!!!!
More of the race track.
There were tunnels under a couple of the jumps to make it easier for spectators to watch from different vantage points.
Kyle and his trophy. We are so proud of him.
Here is the awesome three. Three generations, that is.
Bigger boys raced afterwards and I got a couple good shots.
The people next to Ken and Kyle had a huge lawn chair. I would need a step ladder to get into it . It even had 6 cup holders, three in each arm.
Well, the fun is over and it is time to go home.
After we left the race track, we saw this really neat carving in a field beside the road. We didn't notice it coming in.
We all need to be reaching out to take God's hand to help us get through this life successfully before we are ready for the next.
Later we went to Roger's sister's house for dinner. Homemade pizza and salad. Roger wasn't impressed with the mushrooms and olives, but he really liked the crust. Then we had rhubarb upside down cake for dessert.
Well, I need to feed my hungry man. For some strange reason he thinks he needs to eat EVERY day.
Until next time, God bless
Lila
