Great Grandson Visit

We were privileged to get a visit from our Princess granddaughter, her son and her boyfriend.  The little guy, Dominic, has grown so much and even talks now.  He plays with his daddy a lot.

I just love those blond curls.  He really liked Missy, the dog.
A couple times Missy got so excited that she ran round in circles really fast and tore up the lawn.  We had to make her stop because she was about to knock Dominic down on the cement.  He found a little puddle that he ended up laying down in.  Luckily there wasn't really much water there.
He crawled under the truck and tried to stand up.
He was running everywhere and keeping his mom and dad busy, so we finally corralled him in the back of the pickup.
What a cutie!  That was when I finally got some hugs.  We don't see him real often so he doesn't know us all that well, but he did finally warm up to us.  He even played with Great Grandpa's beard.....after I already put the camera away so I could visit, of course.  He did try to escape.
There is his mommy, Princess Brit.
He really got into running back and forth in the back of the pickup and putting his face up to the lens of my camera and saying cheese, LOL, and he wouldn't take his face off the camera till I snapped a picture. This is the only really close close-up that turned out.

Easter Sunday we had breakfast at church before the service.  My friend Marsha attended church with us and then came home with us afterwards to visit.  We also cut out a new back for a beaded tank top she bought at a garage sale that was a little too tight.  Then another friend, Vickie came by for a short visit as well. It was such a nice day that we sat outside in the sun.

We went to dinner at Roger's sister's place.  He husband is a fantastic cook and really enjoys it.  Didn't get pictures of all the food........my bad.

I also finished a colorful purse this weekend.
The fabric is sparkly.
I found these fantastic buttons that inspired the purse.  They are just so neat and colorful.  The depth of the colors doesn't show up in the photos.
I made the flower petals with half circles of fabric and gathered them at the straight edge (they are double fabric).  I covered up the stitching in the middle with beads and then embellished a little more.  I edged the petals with size 15 clear AB and size 13 pink beads and then put some on the front of the petals, too.  See the orange dragonfly on the red petal?
A closeup of the center of the flower.
The handles are made from the same fabrics.

Well, that's all folks.  Until next time, God bless.
